tell me who's the biggest fool of all..
Currently playing : M2M - Mirror Mirror
Yes, it's been awhile since I've listened to M2M, gosh it reminds me of high school where all of us were into boybands and lovey dovey music like Backstree Boys, A1, Britney Spears and so forth. Really brings back memories of times where we didn't know anyone in school except for our lil' buddies in primary which took their seperate ways after high school and have grown to be the awesome people they are today, some appearing in advertisements and winning awards for competetions which involved brain cracking knowledge.
Talking about friends, it really hit me with these two words, "best friends". In our 'younger' days, everyone was hoping for a best friend, someone that they can tell their dirty lil' secrets to, what they trully felt inside about a person, share their hopes and dreams with, and ofcourse, the occasional "Who's the hottest in school" topic.
We were having a 'yumcha' session at Esquires the other day, and the topic of being uncomfortable to express themselves in a group popped up from one of our new friends. He mentioned how he couldn't be the usual person he is, not that we made him feel uncomfortable but he was afraid to get backfired and people not liking him. During the conversation, another friend said "That's why I don't ever trust anyone". This really hit me as to, why would you ever be friends with someone in the first place if you don't intend to trust that person and what makes you think that you're that much better if you don't really know that person.
For all I know, alot of people can be best friends in their own ways, some people call others best friends when they don't mean it and backstab them. In reality, face it or not, most people tend to follow the crowd, what people say can affect the other person's thinking. That certain phrase that he said, maybe it wasn't intentional and was just to make the other person feel better, but it really affected me.
Not that I wouldn't trust someone, but I'd think twice about doing so the next time, and yes, I still do have best friends, for some reason, most of them are drifting apart and life seems to be taking it's toll.
Hitting the big 20 doesn't help at all. Yes I know, we're still young, add another 20 on there please if you feel that you are. Everyone wants to grow up, and when they do, they realise they want to turn back time, times where they were carefree, and had nothing else to worry about but their studies and enjoying themselves.
Maybe I'm just thinking too much yet again, but face it, the world has never changed, we have and it definately stinks.
Sorry if this post bored the life out of you, this must be the first time in a very long time since I've really expressed myself. No pics are going to be posted. Sorry if this ruins the 'all-good' rep of this blog.
Yet again tonight, I don't have a clue where you are.
My 2c for the night. I mean, 3:42AM.
